KeyWare introduces SmartScout

SmartScout for Notes from Keyware Technologies

(Woburn, MA, http://www.keywareusa.com), a Lotus business partner, provides enhanced full-text search and information retrieval capabilities, compared to Lotus' standard Verity search engine. SmartScout uses neural network technology to let users access scanned documents (fax or image) without OCR cleanup. It also allows for high-level concept searches that include the ability to add and eliminate definitions, add dictionaries and conduct standard semantic and Boolean searches.

SmartScout can search the entire network to retrieve specific files, identify document content and then display documents in standard Notes views with graphics and illustrations. Pricing is $4,995 server and $99 client.
