Kentucky Bank Purchases Image Systems International's Check Processing Equipment

The Union National Bank & Trust (Barbourville, KY) has purchased a check imaging solution from Image Systems International (Oklahoma City). The bank will use the ImageFX system to provide "quicker check research, easier statement storage and check images on CD-ROM," according to the bank's COO Bill West. The system is also expected to cut the time each check needs to be handled from six times to one. The system, which includes components for image statement printing, signature verification, image faxing, CD-ROM archival and CD-ROM generation by individual accounts, is expected to begin production this month. "Check imaging is not a fad or a wave of the future," said Bruce Hays of

Professional Banking Solutions (Louisville, KY), an ISI integration partner. Echoed ISI VP Mark Brousseau: "We expect more than ten percent of all community banks to be in the market this year for a check imaging system."
