With the release of its Discovery Server, Lotus introduces its Knowledge Discovery System, a complete knowledge management solution that includes Lotus K-station portal.

Lotus explains that the server has been designed to uncover and display the link between people, content and topics in order to turn their internal data and resources into assets. Lotus says K-station provides users with a personalized single point of access for retrieving information and collaborating with others--both inside and outside the organization. The products are fully integrated and can be used in unison or individually.

Suggested pricing for the complete Knowledge Discovery System is US $395 per user with discounts for multiple users. K-station suggested pricing is US $120 per user (with discounts). The Knowledge Discovery System currently operates on Microsoft Windows NT or Microsoft Windows 2000. The client requirement is Internet Explorer 5.01 and above or Lotus Notes Release 5 (R5). It’s available in global English, Korean, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
