K2 Releases New Capabilities for Microsoft SharePoint 2016

K2 Software, a provider of a business process applications,  has added new capabilities in support of Microsoft SharePoint 2016, and to its K2 Mobile, K2 management, K2 Rest Service offerings. The updates are available both on-premises via blackpearl 4.7 and in the cloud via Appit.

K2, which now supports SharePoint 2016, is adding key enhancements to performance, forms rules, modern SharePoint lists and registering web applications to help simplify the application registration and activation management for the K2 app.

With the latest updates, in addition to support for REST in Appit, REST is now available for blackpearl on-premises customers as well.

New features have also been added for K2 Mobile for iOS to help customers remain productive while on the go. Enhancements include barcode controls that enable users to scan a UPC or SKU to prepopulate information on a K2 form, as well as image annotation that lets users mark up and add notes to images and attach them to forms for further explanation.

K2 improves application lifecycle management by providing proactive impact analysis on changes made to SmartForms and views during the design stage, without architectural changes or coding. Visual indicators help make users aware if they are missing required data fields, controls, control properties and rules, and notifications provide the option to keep or remove dependencies as they see fit.

K2 Management offers a centralized user interface for configuring and managing of an organization’s K2-based applications. Administrators can centrally manage workflows, methods, user rights, security, roles, worklists, and authorization settings. K2 Management also allows administrators the ability to view, run and test SmartObjects and identify process errors.
