Jetsoft offers new scanning software

) is offering a scanning software program that the developer says improves the quality of scanned images. Art-Scan Professional ($150) offers image enhancement options that maximize desktop scanners. Features include a line art enhancement that reproduces logos, graphs and diagrams at finer resolution than the scanner engine alone, a vector line utility that allows scanning directly into EPS (vector-based), and an analog color correction that allows color adjustments.

The PC version works as a TWAIN module or a standalone product. Jetsoft claims support for more than 100 scanners, either 30- or 36-bit.
