Ixos and SRA ink OEM deal

A system for screening and archiving E-mail in brokerage houses is the result of a new deal between Ixos (San Mateo, CA) and SRA (Fairfax, VA). The new system uses SRA's Assentor E-mail message screening system, which flags incoming and outgoing messages to look for user defined criteria; e.g., words or phrases that could signal SEC violations. Ixos' Jukeman software for the NT platform will be integrated to offer the archival component of the system. "Because the SEC requires the securities industry to maintain extensive archives of communications between brokers and clients, we needed a very robust archival component," said Grady Bryant, SRA’s Principal Systems Engineer. Jukeman provides a complete API kit and can work with MO, WORM, and CD media. Sony (Park Ridge, NJ) will supply the storage hardware.
