Ixos and Convera strike a deal

Ixos Software and Convera have reached an agreement whereby Ixos and its storage hardware partners will resell Convera RetrievalWare search technology through an integration with Ixos' e-mail management and regulatory compliance solutions.

Ixos says its single repository approach to managing content delivers highly scalable solutions that enable customers to cost-effectively archive, preserve, access and manage millions of documents in a live system--from creation through disposition across leading business applications, including e-mail, ERP and CRM systems. RetrievalWare allows users to locate objects of any file type--including text, scanned documents, images and video--all from a single search interface.

RetrievalWare has already been integrated with the Ixos solution for Microsoft MS Exchange and is available to Exchange users within their Outlook mailboxes. Ixos will integrate RetrievalWare with the next version of its e-mail solution for Lotus Notes and across its enterprise content management offerings.

Ixos solutions are designed to meet the most stringent compliance requirements for e-mail retention, including SEC 17a-4, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, GoB, and Basel II.
