Italian Broadcaster Using Excalibur's Video Analysis Engine
RAI Radio Televisione Italiana, a European producer of news, sports and entertainment broadcasts, has licensed Excalibur's (Vienna, VA) Video Analysis Engine (VAE). RAI is now in beta with the product, and plans to become a charter member of the Excalibur Video Advisory Council. RAI will use the VAE to simplify and streamline the process of indexing, archiving and retrieving our video assets. The VAE is designed to help media companies and media savvy organizations build applications that analyze, index and retrieve analog and digital video assets through an intranet or the Internet.
