IntraNet Solutions Embraces XML

IntraNet Solutions (Eden Prairie, MN)has announced a new strategy for incorporating XML (eXtensible Markup Language) with its Web-based document management software. The strategy will include integrated link management with third-party XML authoring tools, automated refinement of XML objects for browser consumption, and an interactive metadata model between IntraNet Solutions' Intra.doc system and XML editors. "The Web is a great repository for corporate documents, and XML can handle more sophisticated documents with richer formatting than HTML," said Ezra Gottheil, Director of the Hurwitz Group

's (Framingham, MA) Internet Business Strategies division. IntraNet Solutions will unveil products incorporating XML in the first half of 1998.
