Interleaf Posts Q3 '97 Profit
Interleaf (Waltham, MA, Nasdaq: LEAF) reports Q3 '97 revenue of $13.4 million, down 12% from Q3 '96. A net income of $726,000 compares with a Q3 '96 net loss of $9.5 million. Maintenance revenue accounted for 48% of total Q3 revenue, nearly double the revenue of products and services. The company cut administrative expenses 36% from Q3 '96. Interleaf "continues to make progress in our plan to stabilize the Company and build a platform for future progress," said Interleaf CEO Jaime Ellertson. During the quarter Interleaf continued its progress into the SGML publishing market with an agreement with Softquad (Toronto).
