Information Today relaunches streamingmedia.com

Information Today Inc. (ITI), KMWorld’s parent company, announces the relaunch of the streamingmedia.com Web site. Since ITI’s acquisition of Streaming Media in December, the site has been retooled to bring a more focused approach by providing users with the knowledge they need for real-world implementations of streaming media technology and applications.

ITI has positioned the streamingmedia.com Web site to be the place to find any aspect of information relating to the streaming media industry or technology. Information on the revamped site includes new articles, breaking news, research reports, updated industry directory, weekly e-newsletter and case studies that showcase the latest real-world streaming media implementations. Additionally, the site has been relaunched with an all-new book, white papers, and research section categorized by technology and business implementation verticals.

“Everyday, corporations are realizing the potential for cost-effective, global communications by utilizing streaming media technology and applications. As streaming media is becoming adopted in the enterprise, media, broadcast, and government sectors to conduct real-world business, the need for up-to-date information is more crucial than ever. The streamingmedia.com Web site is the place to go for that valuable information,” says Dan Rayburn, editor of the streamingmedia.com Web site.

The site also features information on the Streaming Media NY conference and exhibition. Formerly Streaming Media East, the show covers the technology, applications and implementation of Internet audio and video. Held in conjunction with Information Today 2003, the event will be located at the New York Hilton and Towers, May 6–8, 2003, and it promises to provide a focused environment in the government, financial and enterprise vertical markets, enabling attendees and exhibitors to experience technology in person.
