Inference board sees change

Customer service solution provider Inference has announced the addition of one new board member after the resignation of two others. John Katsaros, president of market consultant Collaborative Marketing has joined the Inference board; resigning are Anthony Sun of Venrock Associates and Thomas Davenport of Andersen Consulting.

According to an Inference spokesperson, Sun, who has been on the board for over 15 years, has left to pursue other interests and Davenport cited time constraints because of his new responsibilities with Boston University and Andersen Consulting.

"John's extensive work with Internet companies will help to expand our leadership in the area of Internet self-service," said Charles W. Jepson, president and CEO of Inference.

"Inference is focused on helping its clients deliver better service to their customers by applying knowledge-based systems to replicate the best customer service representatives," said Katsaros. "I believe customer service will be a key competitive differentiator in the Internet age and I'm looking forward to working with Inference as commerce on the Internet explodes.
