ISYS for IntraDisk searches CDs with a Web

The newest version of ISYS information retrieval software from ISYS/Odyssey Development (Englewood, CO,

http://www.isysdev.com) features the ability to search and retrieve HTML documents from CDs using a standard browser. ISYS for IntraDisk ($1,995) offers a search tool for information stored on CD-ROM or CD-R Media.

"Information publishers all over the world are coming to realize the advantages of combining HTML and free browsers as a conventional publication delivery scheme," said Ian Davies, ISYS development director. According to Davies, ISYS For IntraDisk is the only search product that addresses the trend toward HTML format publishing.

Advantages include platform independence, transparent links to the Internet and the ability to scale from disk to wide area network.
