INSCI posts Q2 '97 financial results
INSCI (Westborough, MA) reports Q2 '97 financial results. Revenue of $1,897,000 compares with Q2 '96 revenue of $2,085,000. A net loss of $774,000 represents a 12% decrease from Q2 '96. Product revenue accounted for a third of overall revenue. Slower sales of INSCI's Coinserv archiving software for UNIX contributed to the decline in revenue, according to INSCI CEO Ted Prince. A Windows NT version of Coinserv was introduced in early October, subsequent to the end of the quarter. Prince expects revenues from the Coinserv for Windows to increase over the next several quarters, fueled by product flow through indirect sales channels.
