IMR releases Alchemy Version 5.0

Information Management Research (IMR, Englewood, CO) has unveiled Version 5.0 of its Alchemy data storage and management software for Windows 95 and NT. New features include a global search and retrieval feature, support for HTML, Adobe (San Jose) Acrobat PDF, and AutoDesk's (San Rafael, CA) AutoCAD Release 14, and an upgraded version of the Scan2CD electronic filing module. The solution is "ideally suited for the emerging mid-tier business market," according to Cap Ventures (Norwell, MA) analyst Bill Zoellick. Available by December, Alchemy 5.0 is priced at $4,000 for a base system, with a professional version available for service bureaus. Modules are priced separately.
