Hynet merges document management and electronic publishing

A hybrid document management/electronic publishing solution has been unveiled by Hynet Technologies (Belmont, CA, http://www.hynet.com). The Digital Library System (DLS) "combines the features of both document management and electronic publishing systems into a single powerful solution for information management," according to the Delphi Group's (Boston, MA, http://www.delphigroup.com) Nathanial Palmer. The DLS allows users to create views and editions of documents without re-indexing or duplicating document information. Also featured is a "digital librarian" that selects and delivers information based on the user's interests or specific tasks at hand. The Hynet DLS is available immediately; pricing starts at $50,000.
