Hyland, Ultradata bring IDM to credit unions

Hyland Software and Ultradata are joining forces to offer information management and storage to credit unions. Hyland's OnBase integrated document management (IDM) software will be used to replace microfiche and Ultradata's Optical Management system. Using IDM, financial institutions will be able to better manage information from customer statements, driver licenses, signature cards, and loan applications. Other benefits include the ability to automate processes, respond to customers quicker, and ultimately create an environment that nurtures intelligent decision-making. With this deal, Hyland expands its formidable financial customer base, and Ultradata gets a technology partner for its core business. "[We are] a software development company, not electronic document management experts," said Robert Majteles, Ultradata president and CEO. The deal with Hyland lets Ultradata focus on its department-specific core capabilities.
