Orbital Software has developed a strategic partner program designed to speed the growth of expert-based knowledge management solutions and its flagship product, Organik.

Orbital reports the Velocity Alliance Program will provide the tools to align product offerings and deliver knowledge management solutions to new and existing customers. The company reports Organik’s knowledge sharing infrastructure profiles people dynamically, captures informal knowledge, builds online communities and provides competitive advantage to those seeking to gain the most from the Internet and corporate intranets.

The Velocity Alliance Program is designed to accelerate the development and deployment of Organik-based solutions for customers who require specialized suites of applications and provides systems integrators, resellers and technology vendors with comprehensive technical and marketing support. Convera (formerly Excalibur Technologies), Participate.com, Virdex Software Solutions Group and McDermott Consulting are charter members of the Velocity Alliance Program.

Partners in the program have access to resources to help them develop, market and support Organik. Thsy include productivity tools, pre-release software, certification and sales and technical services. Other resources include:

  • a developer's resource kit,

  • constantly updated developer's “Tips & Tricks,”

  • support resources,
