Hawaiian Electric Industries Selects InterTech

InterTech's (Atlanta) DocuPact technology has gone tropical with a new contract from the Hawaiian Electric Industries. InterTech will install DocuPact Version 3.1 imaging and document management product for the Hawaiian utility, which services the entire island of Oahu. The system will allow company engineers to instantly access all the data available for each utility pole installed on the island. Workers will also be able to simultaneously view location, size, type and installation date, and see a drawing of the actual site. Hawaiian Electric also has plans to expand the DocuPACT system to reach their subsidiary companies, which maintain utilities for the outer islands. "Our company switched to Windows NT about a year ago and we were looking for the best Windows NT solution," stated Bill Muench, Senior Customer Engineer for Hawaiian Electric Industries. After shopping around, the company decided to go for InterTech's DocuPact. "DocuPACT is simpler to use and will require less customization."
