Group 1 Software Reports Financial Results
Group 1 Software (Lanham, MD, Nasdaq: GSOF) reports Q3 '98 revenue of $15.9 million, up from $14.6 million a year ago. Net income of $704,000 compares with a net income of $477,000 in Q3 '97. The increase in revenue is attributed to sales of Group 1's Doc 1 enterprise document management (EDM) software and its database marketing products. Lower sales of the company's mailing efficiency and Worldtrak sales force automation system (sold off in September) minimally affected results. Operating margin increased nearly 2% over Q3 '97 due mostly to increased revenue.
