Going all the way with ECM

FileNet announces its new P8 product architectures, which it says is designed to provide enterprise-level scalability and flexibility to handle complex content, business process and application integration.

The company explains P8 combines the capabilities of its Panagon platform, Acenza application framework, its Brightspire eBusiness framework and Business Process Management technology into a unified ECM platform. FileNet adds the P8 architecture utilizes a single repository, single user experience, and a single Application Programming Interface (API) set for developers.

FileNet says features include:

Business Process Manager for applications that automate complex business processes to improve process performance, reduced cycle times and improved productivity.

Content Manager for managing complex documents and controlling, sharing and accessing any form of content in a secure environment.

Web Content Manager for managing the creation, approval and publication of Web content and complex documents to multiple Web sites.

Image Manager for managing and accessing of fixed objects such as images, faxes, emails and rich media
