Glovia and Manugistics to offer combined product
Glovia (Los Angeles) and Manugistics (Rockville, MD) are integrating each other's products to combine enterprise resource planning (ERP) with supply chain management (SCM). The offering, Manugistics Integrator for Glovia, combines Glovia's ERP system with the Manugistics5 software. The result: companies can align their business processes and integrate their supply chains at the operational level. With this integration, Glovia customers get a best-of-breed SCM solution for demand planning, supply planning, manufacturing scheduling, and transportation. Manugistics taps into Glovia's customer base in the automotive, capital equipment, electronics, industrial and telecommunications industries. "The combination of Manugistics and Glovia offers a total ERP/supply chain solution for larger manufacturers," said Glovia president Bill Engel.
