FileWave’s Latest Update Supports Apple’s Fall Releases

FileWave, the multi-platform endpoint management solution for apps, devices and configurations for Mac, Windows and mobile, is launching v13 of its flagship platform, adding full support for Apple’s fall release of iOS 12, tvOS12, and macOS Mojave.

FileWave v13 enables administrators to leverage all of Apple’s latest enhancements to DEP and configuration profiles.

DEP includes new options for deployment and initial configuration of iOS and macOS devices. The configuration profile updates include a multitude of new options for ongoing application of privileges, as well as restrictions, delivered through FileWave’s market-leading, intuitive interface and automated processes.

Additional features of FileWave v13 include:

  • ServiceNow integration – a certified app in ServiceNow enables users to directly integrate and view FileWave inventory data in help desk tickets for faster incident resolution.
  • Invgate integration – FileWave is also integrated with Invgate’s ITSM solution for the mid-sized enterprise.
  • Security – v13 provides continued security enhancements to FileWave’s architecture, reducing risk to the management infrastructure.
  • Modernized interface – an all new design giving customers the ability to log in from any device for easy access to FileWave’s robust inventory data.

The v13 release lays the foundation for an advanced interface that will continue to roll out in coming months, said John Clayton, FileWave CTO.

The company will continue to build out this modern UI, optimized for unified endpoint management, Clayton said.
