FileHold Introduces Secure Messaging Service to Document and Records Management Software Suite Embedding dtSearch Engine

FileHold Systems, a provider of document management software, and dtSearch, which specializes in enterprise and developer text retrieval software and document filters, have announced the addition of a new feature called Courier to the FileHold document management suite. 

Courier provides secure electronic document transmission and confirmation of receipt, enabling users to securely access their documents from any device and send documents to email addresses inside and outside of the FileHold system.

FileHold document management software includes a mobile interface giving users access to their documents from anywhere and from any device.  FileHold Enterprise uses Microsoft Technologies Service Oriented Architecture and runs on a cloud-based configuration or on servers located on-premises, with features such as document imaging and scanning; document workflow and approval; and records management including archiving, retention and disposition policies.

According to Larry Oliver, president, FileHold Systems, the new Courier feature addresses a need that FileHold customers have to securely transmit documents. It allows customers to send documents for review and approval to their customers, trading partners, suppliers, and employees, bypassing the need for paper.

For full-text searching inside the FileHold system, FileHold uses the dtSearch Engine.  dtSearch's core developer product, the dtSearch Engine searches terabytes of text, and includes more than 25 full-text and metadata-driven search options.  The dtSearch Engine works with online and offline data, including emails and attachments, a range of document types, website data, and other databases.
