Factiva adds to Integration

Factiva has released its Search Module, the second element of Factiva Integration, which is designed to fold the company’s global content into intranets and portals.

The company says customers can integrate Factiva Search Module into the layout of any existing Web-based corporate desktop giving users access to the external news and internal information they need without leaving the application in which they are working.

Factiva Search Module is capable of sharing the same page and integrating with various portal and intranet applications such as internal databases, CRM systems and e-mail. It’s available in available in two versions: standard, which is HTML-based, and custom, which is based on open systems and XML tagging that allows users the ability to simultaneously search internal content and Factiva's global content.

Users of its integrated system have access to all of Factiva’s global content—which is available in 12 languages—including a database of nearly 6,000 global sources such as Dow Jones Reuters (its parent company), The Wall Street Journal, Le Monde, The Times of London, The South China Morning Post and Associated Press newswires.
