Excalibur, L&H voice-enable content management

Towards total content management: that's the goal of Excalibur and Lernaut & Hauspie by way of a new licensing agreement that joins knowledge retrieval and speech recognition/linguistic technology. L&H will distribute and integrate Excalibur's Retrievalware product with its multilingual language libraries, enabling simultaneous cross-lingual search capabilities. Multinational corporate intranet implementations will benefit from the combined technologies, as will online publishing and other specific multi-content applications. Other content management areas to benefit include speech-enabled access to online data and voice access to annotate records in industries such as medical, automotive and legal, according to L&H president and CEO Gaston Bastiaens.
