Endeca targets verticals

Coinciding with Endeca's  announcement last week of its Information Access Platform (IAP), the company has introduced an expanded suite of Market Solutions built upon that platform.

Endeca Solutions for Retail include:

• customer service--reduces wait times, increases sales and improves customer satisfaction;

• kiosks--improves the in-store shopping experience and increase sales by helping retailers deliver effective, customized self-service kiosks;

• online retail--enhanced search, navigation and merchandising solution; and

• customer segmentation--optimizes the return on marketing campaigns.

The company adds that retailers can use IAP to support collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout their organizations by taking advantage of the Endeca for Intranet & Knowledge Management solution.

Endeca Solutions for Manufacturing & Distribution include: • product data navigation--reduces design costs and speeds time-to-market through parts reuse and strategic sourcing;

• B2B e-commerce--lowers the dependence on high cost channels such as print catalogs and call centers while increasing new revenue streams through the online channel; and

• supply chain analytics--provides greater visibility and valuable insight into the key drivers behind supply chain processes and efficiencies.

Endeca Solutions for Government include:

• intelligence--said to give intelligence and law enforcement agencies discovery capabilities not possible with legacy search engines, and

• self-service--designed to helps agencies meet key e-government initiatives and mandates.

IAP also supports a number of other government solutions, such as Endeca for Readiness and Endeca for Intranet & Knowledge Management.

Endeca has also introduced solutions for financial services, healthcare and life sciences, hospitality and professional services.
