End-to-end DM

Softheon has introduced EDM 5.0, its enterprise document management suite. The out-of-the-box EDM solution includes document imaging, electronic document and object management, workflow, business application integration, and Internet-based communications.

Sharing an integrated platform, EDM 5.0 can be extended to include Softheon's Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) and Web Content Management (WCM) product suites.

The new version expands the current EDM feature set--which includes CaptureDesk's scanning, PublishDesk's imaging printing, ImageDesk's imaging viewe rand FaxDesk's fax management solution--to include:

• AdminDesk, which provides administrators with the capability to administer and manipulate content found in the Softheon document management, imaging and workflow environment;

• DataDesk, which is designed for creating, indexing, storing and maintaining reports from mainframe systems; and

  DocumentDesk, a document and records management solution that integrates multiple file management functions.
