Kamoon and Tacit have partnered to integrate Tacit Expertise Systems Platform (ESP) into Kamoon Connect. Customers will now have the ability to have Kamoon Connect power the question-and-answer system of their knowledge portal with the added features of Tacit ESP’s expertise profiling capabilities.

Kamoon reports the integrated solution achieves the business goals of knowledge sharing, expertise management, results tracking and capture of questions and answers while providing continuous, automatic and detailed expertise profiling.

The company adds that Connect provides a complete Q&A process management system that enables people to communicate with other experts, share tacit knowledge and capture the information for future use and analysis. Kamoon says its “enterprise expertise management” engine matches questions to the appropriate expert, facilitates the right interaction process through its workflow, captures the questions and answers in a FAQ database and provides measurement tools.

Tacit ESP can be incorporated into enterprise to add capabilities for comprehensive expertise profiling, assessment and search. The software automatically and continuously discovers and captures expertise by analyzing electronic content from diverse sources such as e-mail, document management systems, electronic discussion boards, file systems and application data under the control of each user. Individual profiles reflect depth of expertise, contextual detail, relative importance of each area of expertise and subject-specific ranking relative to others in the enterprise.
