E-learning from Inmedius

Inmedius has launched Version 8.0 of Omnibus, its Web-based learning management system (LMS) to track and deliver e-learning and instructor-led training (ILT) for small to midsize organizations. Inmedius says the software features a unique, customizable app-based interface designed to help each learner easily assemble his or her personalized home page. This simplifies and enhances the experience of users by showing them what they need to do next, dramatically enhancing ease of use and productivity.

Omnibus V. 8.0's interface offers a number of applications from which to choose, including:

  • My eLearning to display active courses,
  • Upcoming Events to view and modify the schedule of ILT sessions,
  • Notifications to identify imminent or critical items for the user, and
  • How I'm Doing App with graphical display of current status.

Inmedius explains changes to the portal can be made at any given time and that users choose, place and size the apps to create their own screen layout to personalize the overall learning experience and process. In addition, Ominbus' open architecture augments training and development by enabling users to integrate external apps, including Google Gadgets, Twitter, Facebook and Web-based e-mail services like Gmail.
