Documentum releases 4i B2B

Designed for the Global 2000, Documentum’s 4i B2B Content Management Edition is the final component of its four-part Editions Strategy, which also includes the Web Content Management, Compliance and Portal editions. Documentum reports the new XML-based content management platform provides the foundation for B2B applications from catalog management and contract life cycle management to collaborative commerce.

The company says the core of the solution is the eContent Server, which is enhanced by Engagement Services, Syndication Services, Collaboration Services and the Documentum Developer Studio. Documentum explains Engagement Services is an ebXML-ready, multi-protocol server that extends process automation and workflow across trading networks. Syndication Services is aN integrated content distribution facility for publishing content directly from one or more repositories to an unlimited number of subscribers.

Collaboration Services provides real-time, project-based collaboration between employee and partner teams while leveraging knowledge and best practices across the extended enterprise. Developer Studio is a development environment with a comprehensive API set compatible with all popular Web-based development standards.
