Documentum doubles earnings

Documentum (Nasdaq: DCTM) reports Q2 '98 revenue of $28.4 million, up 64% from Q2 '97. Net income of $3.2 million is up 119% from Q2 '97 net income. Net income was up 108% for the first six months of 1998, which includes a $2.2 million charge for the October 1997 acquisition of Workgroup Management. During the quarter Documentum released the EDMS 98 enterprise document management system, which includes technology from Input Software, Adobe and Informative Graphics. This quarter marks 18 consecutive quarters of revenue growth for Documentum.
