DoD to Demonstrate Healthcare Information Systems at HIMSS

The Department of Defense (DoD) will host a demonstration at The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's (HIMSS, Chicago) annual conference and exposition February 22-26 in Orlando. The demonstration will highlight projects and systems, real-time demonstrations of Internet, intranet, data warehousing, clinical information systems and corporate information systems. The DoD is also sponsoring ten educational sessions during the conference. "The DoD manages one of the largest healthcare systems in the world," said Pamela Barrett, HIMSS Director of Education and Publications. "Our attendees can learn from the DoD's accomplishments and gain insight as to how to improve operations in their own facilities."
