Do you believe in service desk?

Magic Solutions has introduced the next generation of its Web-based service desk solution, which includes new business automation, customization and purchasing features. Magic says Total Service Desk (TSD) 7.0 is helping customers across the financial/banking, government, healthcare and retail industries meet the demands of infrastructure complexities and the need for efficient resource management solutions.

Magic reports TSD 7.0 enables the development of Web-based applications including purchase requisition tracking, insurance policy tracking, online employment application and software defect logging.

The company notes the following new features of TSD 7.0:

  • Magic Business Automation is a Web-based event system that enables the creation and customization of business rules and allows administrators to automate their business process. As an automated workflow engine, the MBA is integrated with escalation, notification and mail functionality. The MBA also allows for triggers to be set on any event without requiring programming.

  • The Magic Purchasing Module is designed to provide a central, intuitive, customizable interface that includes the components necessary to initiate, direct, record and complete a purchase transaction. It directs the request to each stage, recording and tracking various line items.

Version 7.0 also includes new menu and toolbar customization capabilities, allowing users to modify the menu item text. It also permits them to add toolbar buttons for all available action menu items and to launch any module with a foreign key link.
