Deadline Approaching for Delphi's Knowledge Management Awards

For people planning to submit nominations for Delphi Group's (Boston) Excellence and Innovation in Knowledge Management awards, the deadline is fast approaching. The awards highlight KM applications through four areas of KM implementation: Most Effective Use of a CKO (Chief Knowledge Officer); Most Successful Use of Knowledge Management in ensuring Customer Satisfaction; Best Use of Knowledge Management to Enhance Quality of Life; and Most Innovative Application of Knowledge Management. Entries must be submitted by the end of March. Send submissions to:

When submitting an application, please include the following:

--Contact information (name, department, company, address, e-mail, etc.).
--A synopsis of your Knowledge Management application. (up to 800 words)
--Describe how it has increased the organization's effectiveness. (up to 500 words)
--What were the measurable productivity gains you have observed and how did you measure them? (up to 500 words)
--Discuss any specific cultural issues you found in deploying knowledge management. (up to 500 words)
--What is the total number of users? Are there plans to increase this number?
--Describe how this application of KM is best-of-class in one of the four categories (CKO, Customer Satisfaction, Quality of Life, Innovative Application - based on the category you are submitting in). (up to 500 words)
--Please describe the effect your knowledge management application had on customer satisfaction. (up to 500 words)

The awards will be announced at Delphi's Knowledge Management Executive Summit on June 10, 1998 at San Diego's Hotel Del Coronado. More information on the IKMS can be found on Delphi's Web site.
