Datachannel, Software AG partner for XML info exchange

By integrating their products, Datachannel and Software AG plan to offer a 1-2 XML punch to organizations looking to publish and retrieve data across their enterprise.

Per a new partnership, Datachannel will integrate its RIO information management server with Software AG's Xmachine data server. The combined product, designed for supporting high-volume mission-critical Internet transactions, will offer reusable content architecture, built-in publishing, indexing and XSL-based search capabilities, and connections to mainframe and ERP data stores.

The product is scheduled to ship in Q1 '99; pricing was not disclosed.
