Datacap Provides Data Capture Solutions for the U.S. Census

The United States Bureau of Census will use Datacap (Tarrytown, NY) data capture software to process employee timesheets. Deployed at over 500 field offices nationwide, the software will support the staffing effort required to obtain demographic information from every U.S. household. Using Datacap's Paper Keyboard and Task Master software with

PeopleSoft (Pleasanton, CA) data management and FileNet's (Costa Mesa, CA) Watermark image management systems, the Census Bureau will process more than 26 million daily time sheets by the time the project is complete. The combined system will "make sure that people's time records are smoothly and efficiently integrates with the payroll system," according to Datacap president Scott Blau, and reduce the overall cost of operations.
