DataTrak Acquires Electronic Data Collection Software

To complement its own electronic collection software offering, DataTRAK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of

Collaborative Clinical Research (Cleveland) and created with the help of IBM Global Services (Armonk, NY), has acquired the OpusTwo electronic data collection software from EDS' (Plano, TX) German subsidiary Padcom Clinical Research GmbH. The software has been in use by more than 500 sites in Europe, affecting more than 3,000 patients. "The OpusTwo software complements our DataTRAK process," according to DataTRAK president Patrick Chassaigne. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
