Data Systems Network Acquires Avalon

In an effort to find more qualified sales opportunities in the document management arena, systems integrator Data Systems Network (Farmington Hills, MI) has acquired Avalon Technologies (Chicago) for an undisclosed amount. The deal will bolster Data Systems' Midwest operations, and expand its current document management and imaging offerings. Avalon brings to the table document control analysis, workflow, EDMS, BPR, OCR, COLD and other customization services. A few key Avalon personnel will transfer over to Data Systems, which is "very optimistic," according to president and CEO Michael Grieves, "not only about the talents and experience of this group but also at the prospects of additional opportunities."
