Dagar Software Unveils Healthcare Software

In healthcare especially when combining medications what you don't know can cause serious medical problems. Dagar Software (Bethany, CT) has created a CD-ROM that provides information about the effects of mixing prescription and non-prescription drugs. Cyberdoc provides information on 14,000 OTC products and an extensive database of all known prescription medications. Users can look up information on medications, and determine what potential conflicts, such as interactions, allergies and cross-sensitivities may occur. Information about foods to avoid and when to get periodic tests is also included. Profiles can be created and maintained for up to ten people. The product is "the only product on the market today that addresses the problem of interactions and improper use of medications," according to Dagar president Gary Roffman. Cyberdoc runs on Windows 3.1 and 95, and costs $24.95 with twice-yearly database updates for $11.95.
