Softwerc has released Wercspace Version 1.2, which is said to provide a new level of convenience and utility for employees who create or maintain their own customized Web portal content. Among the enhancements, the company says, are more advanced page management capabilities; greater flexibility in the creation and circulation of real-time, dynamic Web pages; as well as a new page repository and other productivity improvements for administrators.

Softwerc describes Wercspace as a standalone, browser-based application that enables non-technical employees and workgroups, as well as portal administrators, to create and customize their own enterprise Web portal content without expert assistance. The solution is especially valuable for individuals who need to routinely access a diverse and specialized mix of third-party, real-time Internet information, including those who work in the financial services, insurance, medical, marketing/advertising or news industries. the company says

Enhancements for employees and workgroups in Wercspace Version 1.2 include:

Unlimited page count. Users can now add an unlimited number of pages to their profile, allowing greater content diversity.

More convenient page adds. Advanced page management allows the user to add pages to their Wercspace in a more user-friendly fashion.

New “hot list” menu. Employees can define a list of five pages for quick access.

Publish page functionality. Employees can publish pages or “Werclets” to their work group without administrator involvement.

Easy page resizing/movement. Werclets can now be moved around the page or resized without selecting the layout mode.
