Curran Data Awarded Data Processing Contract from the Indiana Department of Revenue

The Indiana Department of Revenue has signed a contract with Curran Data Technologies (Indianapolis) to process its state income tax returns. The two year deal, which covers 1997 and 1998, is worth approximately $2 million. Curran Data, a subsidiary of

Star Technologies (Sterling, VA), will process over 2.3 million individual tax returns, providing data entry and verification services and electronic submission to the state. The deal marks Curran Data's 11th consecutive award of this outsourcing contract. The state is realizing the efficiency of processing tax returns electronically, according to Curran Data president Carol Curran. "Electronic imaging technologies have become increasingly more important in the state's ability to rapidly and accurately process income tax returns," she said.
