Cracking into the $62 billion global CRM market

PeopleSoft and IBM have developed an agreement to deliver Internet-based customer relationship management on IBM's DB2 database running on its IBM S/390 server. In recent months, the relationship has grown as PeopleSoft has adopted IBM's DB2 Version 7 as the company's primary development platform for PeopleSoft 8.

The two companies will combine their database, server, software and services to provide customers access to a scalable CRM application that can manage their data across the entire enterprise.

In addition, PeopleSoft has committed to lead with IBM's WebSphere Application Server and MQ Series messaging middleware, as well as RS/6000 and Netfinity Web servers. This announcement follows similar agreements IBM has made with other software developers including i2, Ariba, Kana, Siebel Systems and more.
