County government casts vote for customer interaction

The leaders of Fairfax County (VA) have elected to work more closely with citizens with the help of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc.

Fairfax's County Executive and Board of Supervisors will use ACS' Intranet Quorum Customer Relationship management system to track correspondence with the county's 900,000+ citizens. The system will track casework and projects, manage traditional and electronic mail, allowing county officials to respond more effectively to customer contacts, and ultimately offer decision support.

ACS' Intranet Quorum is already being used in the federal government at the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House, as well as various federal agencies
