Collaboration to the core

In a move designed to facilitate business collaboration in the portal environment, Corechange has formed an alliance with Groove Networks to deliver secure business collaboration to its portal framework software. The agreement includes integration between their products.

The move enables users of Corechange's enterprise portal framework software, Coreport, to view, manage and access Groove software's collaborative shared spaces from within their portal. Further, Corechange's role-based access mechanism, built on Microsoft's Active Directory, allows Groove users to target specific roles, groups and communities for participation in a Groove shared space.

The product integration creates what the companies call a “center-edge” approach, with the portal and its enterprise assets serving as the central delivery point for content and documents, while Groove software facilitates small team interaction around the content, documents and applications presented in the portal.
