Clustering for publishers and the media

Emic Networks, which is known for clustering solutions for open source, has announced a partnership with Zenplex, which specializes in workflow solutions for the media, print and publishing industries.

Under the terms of this agreement, Zenplex will be offering its enterprise customers Emic “m/cluster, ” a middleware solution that can be added to existing MySQL database applications transparently. Emic says that in addition to providing high availability, performance scalability, load balancing and automatic fail-over, m/cluster generates a consistent view of all MySQL data despite any outages of individual servers.

In addition to m/cluster, Emic provides application clustering solutions for Apache servers with a/cluster and for the LAMP and LAMJ (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP/Python/PERL or JSP/J2EE) stacks with lamp/cluster and lamj/cluster.
