Clustering for consumers

Best known for its intelligent clustering and meta-search software, Vivisimo has introduced Clusty.com, a consumer site. Vivisimo describes Clusty.com as a beta site that groups search results into folder topics, giving users a quick overview of the main themes in the results and letting them focus on topics of interest. Said to be designed to relieve consumers of information overload, Vivisimo claims Clusty provides easy access to information that is usually overlooked with current search engines, allowing users to perform general Web searches as well as shopping, blogs, gossip, images, Wikipedia and people searches.

Vivisimo says the default Web search on Clusty includes several intuitive shortcuts for items such as stock quotes, weather, dictionary and more. Users can customize Clusty to suit their unique requirements by choosing tabs to display from a list or create their own tabs by selecting information sources to search.
