Clearnet Chooses Open Text's LiveLink Intranet

Clearnet (Markham, Ontario), a digital wireless communications services provider, has selected Open Text

's (Waterloo, Ontario) LiveLink Intranet as the application standard for its enterprise knowledge management initiative. "Our shared hard drives were a data jungle," said Jackie Puchalski, Clearnet's director of Information Systems, "hampering our ability to access information and share knowledge." Before implementation of the Open Text system, "our employees were hampered by a paper-based system of retrieval when responding to client questions," added Jeannie Soultanis, Clearnet's Director of Client Care. "Now, it takes them seconds to retrieve information." Deployment of the system is expected to be completed by early 1998.
