Cimage adds document management capabilities to AutoCAD

Cimage Enterprise Systems (Irvine, CA, http://www.cimage.co.uk) has introduced the Document Manager for AutoCAD Version 3.1 at Kalthoff International in Orlando. The solution gives document management functionality for AutoDesk's (San Rafael, CA, http://www.autodesk.com) AutoCAD software package, used to modify engineering designs and drawings. DM for AutoCAD includes a "work list" feature that indicates which engineering drawings need work before being returned to the document repository. "Without DM for AutoCAD, engineers refer to paper files, or open and close several applications," said Cimage VP David Shipman. "With DM for AutoCAD, engineers are able to view all items from within AutoCAD."
