Capture-friendly BPM

Capture and business process automation giant Kofax has purchased business process and case management vendor Singularity in a deal valued at $48.1 million.

Kofax says the capture-enabled BPM platform will be able to automate both the capture processes needed to enter content into enterprise applications and repositories, as well as the downstream knowledge worker processes required to effectively utilize that information.

The combined Kofax and Singularity products will be fully deployable on premise or via private clouds, as well as via a public cloud under a SaaS subscription model. Kofax claims the flexible delivery options will allow it to better serve a broader array of customer buying preferences and over time create more predictable revenue streams.
